What’s the opinion on crash bars then? Anyone have them & which ones are recommended? where mine will be stored it’ll be a bit slippery so it’s a good idea to protect it from potential mishaps if possible. For a 2010 1200s
In my opinion and it is just that, I prefer the Ducati crash bars. Saved some damage when I managed to pull the bike on top of myself (don't ask, it's embarrassing) minimal damage to the bike and surprisingly little evidence on the bars. Crash bungs would not have been as effective. Andy
The thing that always breaks on a drop is the hand guard, especially on the older style ones. Bark busters are a good investment, or there are some solid Ducati performance ones that are much more robust (but you do need to fit different indicators, there are some replacement mirrors with them in the tips which are good.)
Anyone tried these? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/324077992038
This one doesn't look to have a third fixing point, so any off will put a bending strain on the frame fixing point. Andy
Does anyone know why the '15 on Multi bars always seem more expensive ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Engine-G..._ssn=ibex-parts_de&_from=R40&_nkw=multistrada I like the look of the Puig ones, but they dont do 'em at all
I crashed my Multistrada GT, thankfully fitted with Ducati crash bars. No damage whatsoever apart from the plastic handguard as mentioned. Definitely recommend them. Ps, bike hit wet grass rather than bounced across tarmac which obviously reduced the impact.
