for sale. 999/749 ohlins steering damper + carbon clutch cover perfect working order and excellent con. fully adjustable and a world apart from the stock sachs unit on the base model. damper only and brackets £160.00 also fully enclosed carbon clutch cover - as new as I put my slipper in and only used it for 4 weeks so its unmarked £30.00 excuse pictures they werent specific to the damper so ive cropped them to show damper will add cover pics soon
yej I ebayed as I had no idea of its worth. still at the lower end of ebay prices and with free postage included will also fit other bikes
ive googled images for the 748 and it although one of the mounting brackets looks slightly different, looks like it may still go on. the damper looks identical itself and in general are much of a mucheness physically if not brackets alone can be had on ebay. if it didnt fit id gladly take it back unless you simply got a bracket for about 25 quid. ill find the ebay link for the bracket have you an Image of your current damper assembly
where is the bolt hole that secures it. it looks like you will need a clamp bracket. they are available to get. the ohlins damper itself is universal and fits tons of bikes the only difference being the bracket on the yoke. I can do a bit off the price to make it sweeter if you source a bracket yourself but a quality damper can transform the steering
