Garage Renovation - What’s Your Like

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by bradders, Mar 10, 2020.

  1. Another little update. After an hour or so digging clay-like soil on Mrs B’s allotment again (that’s my exercise for last two days), got home just in time for my delivery.

Yesterday, I managed to get the other cupboard up, having found a few more suitable screws. This afternoon, I spent a few hours doing this:

all sunk in, works ok, not added the finger holes yet but may do later.

Haven’t got any paint so that will have to stay as-is for the foreseeable future. Next job is to work out what I can get on the walls before I move to the dreaded shed!

  2. You managed to get the bike on the ceiling so the walls should be a piece of piss. :D

  3. This forum is shite for pics. Never used to be. It’s the right way up, but often it spins when uploaded. No idea why

  5. I’m a fairway into my project.
My garage has been in a state since I moved here 23 years ago.

There was this space up the side, but it was only 41”

The flat roof needed doing and the joists had signs of woodworm, so I casually mentioned to our Gert that I’d be a much happier bunny if I could get Paul the builder to just throw something up to make the space usable.

I’d moved a lot of stuff over to the right hand side, while the building work was going on...

Sorted it out, had someone in to sort the electrics out (only ever had two lightbulbs and one usable socket in there)

    Painted a bit more

Flooring next, ceiling when Paul the builder is out of quarantine, tool cabinets after that.

  11. How did your cat get it's head stuck in the wall?

  12. Where's the beer fridge?

  13. Why didn't you paint it before sticking stuff to the walls...

  14. Will be going front left of the door with freezer. She thinks we’re just getting a freezer ;)

  15. No paint. Plus if you paint it you can’t see centre of battens. All screws so all come off easy enough when I can get out and get paint.

needs quite a lot of rubbing down too. Not the cleanest of builders

  16. What make bike lift is that?
    Is it electric, air, electric/hydraulic?

  17. It a cat hunting trophy. The head is displayed on the other side of the wall. :bucktooth:
