1198 Engine

Far too expensive compared to the Bsd 3 dog one!

Good job the one in mine was already in when I bought it then.

Any problems with the quality of it, or just the price?

 

I understand the quality is fine and 3 dog same as the bsd.. wait time and quality of service I understood was is a bitch

 

Trouble is a 1198 motor running in good condition is rare..

 

He could buy something worse than what he has. Rebuild all the way for me.

 

i would have to agree with rebuild what you have. i had the similar issue with my old 996s which dropped its gearbox output bearing. if you rebuild your motor, you now know the internals are good, and can spec some nice extras and know that it has been done well. another motor will be a step into the unknown...

 

Same, rebuild every time. Particularly when it’s not overly complex.

 

It’ll cost as much to change engine surely? Then you have an engine with god knows how many miles and god knows how near to a failure it will be

John Would I imagine issue some sort of warranty and the parts should have some warranty

 

That’s a good price mate. You’ll spend more on a usd motor that will probably go again later!
