I've been using Outlook as my main email software for many, many years. I was using that with Plus.Net as my mail provider - who host my domain. Recently, I am getting p155ed off with both - Plus.net say they don't provide domain hosting to new clients and I get the vibe that they just want out. Also, Outlook seems slow to receive emails and the free mail software that you get with Windows seems to see emails quicker than Outlook. I do have an email account with Google and that one is fine - plus I use Google more to host my Calendar. Because it is web based, I find it more convenient as I can see my calendar on my phone, tablet, laptop, and main computer, whereas when it was in Outlook, then only my main computer had it. So, it looks as though I will ditch Microsoft and go Google. Does anyone have a recommendation for an email host for Google mail?
I have used Mozilla Thunderbird for years. It's free, supports almost limitless email accounts and just works...
I am already using Gmail and Chrome. I've set up a Yahoo address and installed Thunderbird. All good and emails on my phone took all of 10 seconds to set up! I can use Gmail for everything on my phone!
You are now using a service renowned for losing customers details, passwords & we are talking tens of millions of people.
I've just started using it and found emails going everywhere but I can't send any to the correct address. Yes, it does look pretty crap.
Now using Flow Mail and paid to get rid of ads in that and Yahoo mail. Well worth it as they were both rubbish when covered in ads.
