Where Would I Find Information About Ducati Inlet Valve Dimensions, Both Road And Race ?

  1. The title pretty much says it. Having struggled to find information about dimensions for con rods, my curiosity has now been peeked about a box of 39mm diameter valves I have in the toy box. I have been under the impression they are 996RS but I’m not so sure now, having identified at least one of the pairs of longer con rods that came in the same toy box as 999RS. Thanks, Andy

  2. Have you tried DOC?

  3. No, not thought to as I’m not a member nor do I know anyone who is to ask on my behalf. It’s pretty much out there in anorak world which I why I posted here. This forum has some of the most knowledgeable geeky anoraks in Ducati world so if no-one knows on here, I’m definitely going to struggle. Had a chap I knew several years ago that would know but I lost contact with him. I have Falloon’s ‘Ducati Racers’ but that is more of a coffee table publication and only covers things like bore and stroke. Wonder if it is something Neil Spalding might answer. Andy

  4. This is from Ian Falloon's 'Ducati Desmoquattro Performance Handbook'. Any help? It seems to confirm that the 39mm valves are from a 996RS

  5. What are the stem diameters and length?

    They are all factors too.

  6. 106mm overall length, 7mm stem diameter but no idea where you would find that detail. Andy

  7. Brain wave, same overall length and shaft diameter as a 748R inlet valve. Andy
