Jason Manford, the comedian, can't work at the moment, so he applied to Tesco to help out as a delivery driver. In the application, he was asked about experience, "no driver experience, but as a comedian, he knows that it is all in the delivery!" Tesco refused him the job because the pimply youth who was "pretending" to be a manager, didn't get it. I guess that Tesco are really pleased with themselves now....
Why would I employ someone in the role of delivery driver if they have no experience, especially a sarcastic bastid ? Andy
Ah so, Tesco only take on well-experienced delivery drivers in this time of high demand? I didn't realise that they were the "elite".....
Celebrities, not a group you would naturally go to for anything other than self gratification. AS you can see from him making this public. TWAT.
Maybe Tesco have hired celebrities in the past and have found they never stick at it for more than a day or two -like the British fruit pickers according to farmers? Or Tesco figured hiring a ordinary broke guy who wouldn't have a TV gig in a couple of weeks would be a better long term prospect?
I don’t think it was quite like the information Perry has He is on my Facebook that’s where I got my information from
I highly doubt that Tesco would be looking at most of their recent intake as long term prospects in any case, of the peeps I know which are few they've mostly gone back to the construction sites they were laid off from while waiting for their gumbment bail out. More likely that just felt as you say an ordinary bloke used to minimum wage would be more suitable, I don't even know who he is couldn't pick him out in a line up. He'll be just a name on an application to whoever processed it I should think.
Everyone has to apply on line now for a job so whoever receives the application wouldn’t know who it was anyway.
There isn’t much more to say as you have it from Jason’s Facebook page and I know supermarkets trawl media for negative comments so I’m closing the thread
