They look fantastic, just like the real thing. I’ve practiced them a couple of times since we visited Lisbon at the beginning of the year but just can’t seem to get them right. Did you make the pastry or use Jus-Roll puff?
Was there in 2018 with now ex gf. Fantastic city, we visited Belém. Interesting story re how the tarts were invented: The monks at the monastery at Belém used to starch their cassocks in egg white and used the left over yolks to make these. Falling on hard times they sold the recipe to a local cafe which to this day is a mecca for these tasty treats. And yes, the pre-made roll of puff pastry. Closely guarded family secret, would have to kill you if I told you... Alternatively look on BBC Good Food...
