What Are You Watching......?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by XH558, Nov 2, 2018.

  1. Seen it...Or have I?;)

  2. Gangs of London. Goes from a bad(er) episode of Eastenders to machine gunning pikeys.

  3. Machine gunning Pikeys should be a national sport.

  4. Seems harsh, but I'll hear you out. Tell us more.

  5. My alternative is harsh this is the sympathetic option.

  6. The Danish Girl, all very peculiar, but i'd to turn over when he went for the chop downstairs.:scream:

  7. The original Get Carter.

Amazing how the coast of east Durham has recovered following the years of dumping mining slag just offshore via the cable car tubs although it has taken the best part of 50 years.

  8. Back to Life. There is usually something refreshing about watching unknown actors, removes the whole typecast expectation thing I guess. Anyway, very enjoying it, down to earth Brit comedy, just the way I like it!...

  9. Help! Just watched all 7 series of homeland on Netflix

series 8 is on channel 4 but can only view the last 4 episodes

anyone know how I can view the first episodes or will it go to Netflix when finished on 4

    :(:(:sob::poop:

  10. White lines.

So far very good, funny and a few look away moments. Think I’ll binge it.

  11. Agreed, probably the best way to go with this one, some of the forced Manc accents are atrocious.

  12. A fist full of dollars for the umpteenth time.

  13. The American - Netflix

Don't bother. Watched it last night, it's slow, dull, boring and makes you think why on earth did George Clooney produce and star in that :(

  14. Clooney is another one of these assclowns whose pretensions to philosophy and politics have rendered themselves unwatchable. It's a shame as I used to be able to enjoy his on-screen performances (loved his character in From Dusk to Dawn).

ObTopical: Watching Archer on Netflix. Occasional Laugh Out Loud moments.

  15. On reflection that's what it appeared to be, a philosophical treatise on what's going through a man's head as he wrestles with his past and wants for a better future. The only problem was non of that was aptly conveyed. SWMBO fell asleep during it and she likes GC.

  16. I was actually referring to Clooney's performances off the film set. I dislike actors, singers, performers etc who use their platform of fame to promote* their own personal political/philosophical beliefs.

  18. I Know This Much Is True.

Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) playing identical twins. Juliette Lewis playing her usual kooky type of character. Utterly compelling.

  19. Emergence.

An 11 year old girl is found alive after a plane crash but wasn't on the passenger list. Allison Tolman (cop out of the first TV adaptation of 'Fargo') is the investigating police chief, Clancy Brown (Shawshank Redemption) plays her father. The little girl is not all she seems. Sci-fi in the current world. Pretty good.

EDIT: Got the actress name wrong first time.
