  1. I'd want to find out if the salesman was lying.
Most people on a test drive...... Let's check the top speed :)

  3. Just watched it again with sound. Got an alarm at ~160mph. Probably tyre pressure too low for high speed.

  4. And to smack the shit right out of Greta :upyeah::cool:

  6. I personally think it’s poor sportsmanship for the police to prosecute for speeding if they weren’t actually there - just ruins the game and stops them getting Lambo’s as pursuit cars! ;)

But if they can’t track down the car then they really need to try harder.

M23 just before Pease pottage services,

    RS6 2016-2018 facelift model.
    Time 18.27
    Temperature 18.5

There are copies of the video that were uploaded on the 19th May - so the original might have been the 18th.

Sunday evening seems the most likely time for such shenanigans so if we check the weather at that time on the 17th
at Gatwick it looks just about spot on for the temperature reading on the car.

At the beginning of the footage it shows the car entering the motorway - tracking back from the sign for the services takes us to junction 10 of the M23 - a quick google shows that there are ANPR cameras in on both roads leading to that junction. If it were me - I would check them first around 18.24 onwards.

And No - I don’t know whats wrong with me :bucktooth:

  8. way too much time on your hands or you're just found out there is a cash reward.

  9. What’s really sad is I have an overwhelmingly large list of things i should be doing instead - but I just wasted precious time on something completely pointless instead.

And I’m not sure I have even driven down that road before - but it took me about 10 minutes to find it.

    I need help.

    I need to go out.

    I need bars.

    I need women. :sob::sob::sob::laughing::laughing::joy::joy::joy:

  10. An RS6 isn't going to do 200mph because of the drag at high speed. Plus you'd have to allow for speedo inaccuracy. I reckon the most he'll get done for is 175mph at an indicated 200mph.

  11. All very good unless he stole it??

  12. He only had a quarter of a tank which would’ve drained fast if he’s driving that quick. Would look at petrol stations in the area around that time.

  13. Pease Pottage has a service station.

Who's gonna volunteer to stake it out, see if he has another go?

  14. Id say the "straight" on the way up to the mountain section....over 160 that kink feels like a hairpin....

  15. He'd have uploaded straight from his phone.....the phone would register with his isp....dns records are bound to be kept..that would be my first port of call if i were the filth....

  16. Added to which, the simple fact that unless seriously modified the damn thing wouldn't ever have had a chance of getting anywhere near 200 MPH. END OF : unamused::poop:

  17. They will reach 190mph if derestricted with out having to be tuned - with tuning and remap 750bhp+ so I think 200mph is quite possible to be fair

  18. Rev limiter can hold them back too.

  19. With enough money and some fun parts you can get over 900 bhp but not sure it would do much to the gallon

  20. Gosh i used to do that sort of thing back in 1993/97 on the blades once they're bedded in of course, from the crawley junction to Pease / P and return....happy days.
