If you pass that way then you get first watch, I’ll take the next as I’m not far from there. Though I’m now not talking to you as you’ve not once popped round for a cuppa if your in the area.
A mapped rs6 will. some of them are 7-800bhp + pal. however 202 on the speedo isn’t going to be 200mph. a remapped golf R will do over 180mph ffs
Jct 10 entry running southward, beat me to it, had a half-peruse for it yesterday, surprised he wasn't concerned with the av. speed cameras clearly still in place. Did I mention Harwoods in Crawley Jctn 10a?
Have you ever seen a VMax 200 event where the goal is to top 200mph? The best RS6 result I can find is 191mph. Once you get over 195 mph, it gets very hard to get to 200mph and tenths on the Coefficient of Drag value (CD) make big differences. The RS6 is brick shaped. It would probably take 1400bhp to get over 200mph.
Mate. Not being funny but Vmax used to be a half decent event (many many years ago) now it’s full of talentless knobbers. I’d take zero notice of anything vmax related. it wouldn’t take 1400bhp ffs, a gtr with 650bhp will crack 200 indicates. and they’re about as aero dynamic as a hummer. mapped m5’s Can also crack 200+ indicated If you’ve got enough road. Probs about 190-195 on gps although the alpinas have very accurate speedos and some of them have been on the speedo at 210, probably about 202 ish realistically judging by their rep
re: top speed discrepancy, could be as simple as a tyre/rolling radius thing, unless those new Audis are fitted with a pitot now?
I did a VMax event a few years back in my 997.2 turbo. Tuned to ~610hp. I was reading exactly 200mph on the speedo when I hit the beams. My actual was recorded at 197mph so it wasn’t far out. I would have definitely cracked 200 but I had to brake. Fekin hard!
