Been Under The Bonnet On This...

  1. I’ve been playing with all the suspension adjustment available camber front and rear, Castor toe front and rear ... amazing what a different feel from neg rear toe to a dangerous pos toe...

  2. I quite fancy an R53. good ones seem to be hard to find now.

  3. gotta be a diesel, amazing motors.

  4. a maaasive can of worms, and so easily misunderstood. Last thing you'd (i'd) want to discuss on here.

  5. They are I viewed 10 before I found mine all around the M25

I knew which one I wanted I was told I couldn’t buy just for the number plate so it was the last one we looked at
I bought it low mileage good condition nice extras

  6. Nice, Blue with a white roof would be my choice.
    Whats it been like ?

  7. I love it
It was loving serviced and polished etc by my lovely friend before I was allowed her.

She goes well handles brilliant sounds beautiful
Have had a power steering pump
The brake lines were up graded before I had her
Have a stainless steel exhaust on there
Our @cookster has looked after her too

You have to do your homework on them and we searched loads of them and picked 6 of the best at the time 5 years ago.

It’s got the different packs on too

Inside dials I wanted the supercharger

  8. Everytime I get in her I smile :)

  9. Thanks, i have read a lot about the different engine versions. I have never owned a supercharged engine and want to try one. There are a lot of horror stories with the newer turbos cooper S's as well so think i will steer clear of those.

  10. I would post a pic of mine ( i think i have somewhere in the distant pass ) but yours puts mine to shame. Haven't paid it much attention at all other than maintenance, new front struts and top mounts and a rear caliper this year. Other than that its used as a van , why this week i have transported 3 x 5 ton trolley jacks, a commercial battery charger and an air compressor in one journey all was well till i unloaded the jack handle on one of them poked a hole in roof lining, bastid. Goes like fvck and so economical.

  11. Not a massive "later" Mini fan Viv, but your pics and description make me want one. :upyeah:

  12. Here's ours, got it a couple of years ago. Had the wheels refurbed, apart from that it's bog standard 45k miles 3 previous owners. @Ducbird it's got the same clock layout as yours, I think it's called 'chrono pack'?

  13. Nice wheels :)
My wheels need sorting my tyres don’t seem to stop the road chipping away at them
I avoid potholes like the plague
I took run flats off and use normal tyres much nicer ride

  16. There is a place that converts the supercharger to turbo in these earlier minis
1320 they have a Facebook page

There are horror stories all round the fleet
    Research and research

Thankfully I had a researcher doing it for me

  17. One abused Mini,

It's got a black roof and two black bonnet stripes now, with John Cooper decals.
