Just seen an old bike of mine for sale on eBay, the registration is right, the seller claims to have bought it about the right time and the bike has still got one or two unique oddities that make it very identifiable as mine. The quandary is the claimed milage is most definitely not correct, it is less than when I sold it. Mmm, what to do ? Andy
I did kinda the same....my old ktm660 got stolen a week after my mate bought it.....the wheels turned up on ebay about 3 months later.....i knew they were mine....same tyres and they were in the same position on the wheel - i sent the guy a pic and said they were knocked off....reported to ebay but nothing came of it....
Buyer beware as always, not sure how you'll get anything done about this issue. There should be GOV site to check it as any sensible buyer would/should. I highly doubt eBay will do anything?
I need to ask a friend before I jump in with both feet. Checked the MoT mileage and on the surface, it could be kosher, my memory just threw out round figures. When you look at actual figures, doubt creeps in but if it is right, I have never seen a bike do such little mileage in the intervening time. Andy
I have no regrets selling this particular bike, the time was right and life moves on. It just popped up as I was surfin’ eBay and caught my eye. Andy
