  1. You might well be onto something there ,
leaving aside what your lovely Italian bike would actually look like ... :)

I was fascinated by what made the Stealth bombers and fighters so hard to "see" , by the various traditional methods .
Some of it is obvious , looking back ..... all of the munitions are stowed in internal bays until needed .
Engines are mounted as far inboard as possible etc. ..... and then there's the X-files stuff ....
    " It's special Top Secret paint "

The most plausible theory is that there's a component of the composite material that makes the whole aircraft body stealthy .... something like using Kevlar to re-enforce helmets ?

All classified info of course .... Ha !

I remember that Revell / Airfix had a model of the stealth bomber in the shops , a good while before the US military had announced it's existence !

  4. A wrongly displayed number plate or a number plate made wrong when manufactured with say 1 wrong letter that went unnoticed is a small fine and no points either (or always used to be) :eyes:

  5. I’ve often wondered how a Speed camera would be affected if the Reg plate was fitted with a slave flash unit, pointed to the rear, the type that pro photographers use at large events. These go off in reaction to the camera flash going off.

it’d certainly muck up the evidential photo, but whether it would be enough to see you in the clear or to put you in the dock for perverting the course of justice, I don’t know.

  6. Top gear used to say anything over 186mph and the camera wouldn't catch you in time - but that was on the old tech :motorcycleduc:

  7. I’m reasonably certain I’ve dodged a ticket in the past with ANPR mistaking the letter O for a zero.... get in!!

  8. Motorcycle Mechanics experimented with that years ago, not sure if it worked.
However there are number plates which cameras dont pick up. I was watching one of those police camera action bollocks episodes when the patrol car pulled into a service station and he asked the camera man with him if he could see the number plate on a car in front. Turns out neither the TV camera or the police camera could make out the numbers, they were just a blur.
I cant remember what he had done to the plate, the voiceover said he was done for perverting the course of justice....obviously not sure if that was true, but you certainly couldn't make out the plate.

  10. That looks to have been pixelated out, it is hard to describe but looked to be heavily smoked on camera. Evidently it was visible to the naked eye.

  11. My last interaction with the peelers was a tricky one! I was zapped on the M4 on my way back from meeting some mates at pembrey! Was a very clear picture of me,showed my registration my leathers everything! Tricky bit was I was doing 163 mph! Not something I used to do all the time, just one of those mad two minutes spurts!! Anyway it was around the time you may remember those two lads got banged up for doing 120-130! Was all over the press at the time! So now I’m seriously getting prepared for a wee holiday!! Cut a very long story very short it ended up in court, case got dismissed,I got an apology and even got awarded costs!!(don’t ask) anyway I sold the bike about two weeks later! Never again!!

  15. For use of a jammer I think they do you for Perverting the course of justice which is a very serious offence. Can be jail time.

  17. I had one on my STi a few years back, it was fitted behind the grill and it did work. However these days you will get pulled as the camera will throw a wobbly and the operators can tell.
It's now classed as perverting the course of justice, which can carry a prison sentence.

Coincidently I only threw it away a couple of weeks ago during a garage tidy up, not brave enough to use it these days.

Best bet is a Zumo with speed camera locations on it.

  18. Instead of a jammer, why not a good multi band detector mate? They ain't gonna get you in stir and will warn you?
However Paul, I feel what you need is a massive butt plug to stop the prison sisters getting in mate. :upyeah:
Was very nice knowing you mate, want me to take the beetle off you while ya banged up ?
