1200 DVT Dvt Top Box Mounting Kit

  1. Hi , I have bought a 2017 1200dvt today. I have kept the top box from my 2013 multi. Has anyone used the SW-Motech mounting plate system ? I know on previous threads that the ducati system with the under rails is very secure, but its a real pain in the arse trying to order it without the top box. The Motech is an easy purchase. If anyone has the Ducati kit for sale , that would be a solution as well.

  2. I have the SW Motech one on my 1260 and it’s very good. It came with the bike so I have no idea of cost but it has a quick release adapter plate.

  3. I've just bought a 2017 DVT too, I have the SW Motech mounting gubbins fitted to the machine, but no quick release adaptor for a givi/ducati top case, plus I dont have top case anyhoo! Not really sure how the adaptor plate works!

  4. You would be right sir!

  7. The two plates from each bike look different. Do you think Rotaxracer's quick release plate fits Bob the Bounders plate ?

  8. Oooh errr! Look completely different to me!

  9. Mine looks like an older design possibly?

  10. I wonder if the plate is different for a 1260 against a 1200 !!

  11. Sorry guys, hope i haven't confused the issue! As i said it was already fitted to the bike when i bought it!

  12. No worries chief, no confusion, I was keen as to the mount I have fitted and any adaptor that would take givi/kappa/ducati top case. Thanks to your photos I now know SW Motech have at least 2 mount plates for DVT and 1260 :upyeah:
