Please can someone confirm which seat is which, low seat feels lower so I think is correct, but what I have marked as standard seat has Ducati Performance on the side, so thinking this is a DP comfort seat. Asking before I take it to upholsterer for butchering. I also have a seat labelled as comfort that I reckon is the standard seat and it does not have DP on the side of it. Just wonder if anyone can tell from the numbers under the barcodes, thinking they may be part numbers. Thanks in advance, the knowledge on this dory always amazes me, much better than the majority of Ducati dealers, there a lesson in that!!
An internet search has the 12B as a 2012 touring seat, 41A as a low seat and the 51A as a 2013 touring seat. Andy
The Multistrada seat is a pain, 2010/2011 seat only fitted the earlier model. Changed for 2012 and then you had the twin spark in 2013. Not beyond the realms of possibility the 2012 and 2013 seats fitted both models but there was an aesthetic change for 2013. Although I’m not certain, the DVT seat is entirely new which does not fit the twin spark or the 1st gen bike. Andy
I have a 2013 pp twin spark, pp comes with a pp specific seat but I transferred my 2012 comfort seat onto my 2013 no problems, the dp seat you have looks the same as my comfort seat
The DP seat was purchased off a forum member as a comfort seat. We should sue Ducati as comfort is the last word I would use!
Comfort is a relative term. Have you sat on a 2016 Scrambler Icon ? A telegraph pole after 100 miles would be more comfortable. A horrible, truly horrible seat. Andy
Comfort was my iL4s from late 70s and 80s, or my arse is just more sensitive now. It shouldn’t be as it’s now twice the bloody size.
I think Andy is correct, comfort is relative, for myself and my fat arse, it's a question of support, blood flow and temperature control. Don't ask me how I know, the story is a long and painful journey!
I've recently bought an Air Hawk jobby. Either I've got a mahusive pair of boll**ks OR Ducati seats are designed by blind eunouch's. So far so good with the Air Hawk.
