  4. The disdain towards this bike is equal to how riders of rice rockets view Ducati riders and their overpriced Italian pose machines. :bucktooth:

  5. The name is historic, the British maker who bought the rights to the Brough name, is most definitely not and has absolutely no connection to TE Lawrence. Saw the new company’s interpretation of the classic Brough at the NEC and thought George Brough would be turning in his grave. Andy

  6. Brough was only responsible for rolling framed bikes , sleek looks and lots of nickel/ chrome plate. J.A.P. vee twin engines fitted.

  8. My local MV dealer MotoCorsa used to stock them, along with Norton’s and Heskeths, I suspect most of them adorn offices and grand entrances halls as a work of art

  10. Yes. The workshop was on Haydn Road from 1919 to 1940. From 1940 they spent the next 5 years making crankshafts for Rolls Royce Merlin engines as used in Spitfires & Hurricanes. After hostilities ceased, they didn't return to motorcycle or car manufacturing & so they closed down.

  14. Aston is entirely dependent on raising new capital, having seen the share price sink from 19 quid to 57 pence in 18 months. The cars have a reputation for speed, the share price is the fastest falling ever I think.
Norton has clearly shown us how "dreams" can tun to nightmares, AM Lagonda looks about as likely to succeed.
