I have a signal booster thingy for my shit O2 signal at home. It takes over and uses VOIP instead of airborne signal, however it has to connect through 3G (not 4G) so I have to switch settings when at home. A right pain, but 5-star 'signal' at home. This is on a business tarrif but you may be able to swing one on a personal deal if your real signal disagrees with their predicted 'postcode' signal....
which IPhone and what IOS is it running ? Had all sorts of different issues when not on the latest IOS.
I can’t remember tbh. 7 or 8, maybe? But I’ve had this problem with previous phones and regardless of whether they’re up to date.
It would drive me mad. I’d have to try to solve it. So it could be the WiFi, have you tried different WiFi channels , relocating the router that sort of stuff ? (Unless you’re not that bothered, then I’ll shut up about it ).
I changed WiFi providers when I moved house just after Xmas. I’ve no idea what you’re on about re: moving channels but I think I can probably manage moving the router itself without it expiring in a shower of sparks, so I’ll give that a go, if I can. However, IIRC, it is where it is because they only supplied a stupidly short cable with it, which is already stretched as tight as a guitar string. I’ll look into it. Thanks
I bought one of those to try and boost the signal enough that it would reach the summerhouse/workshop at the bottom of the garden, but it was about as much use as a chocolate teapot and so I took it back for a refund.
No. That’s another thing I didn’t know you could do. Every day’s a school day! Thanks EDIT: I’ve just done it now. You’ve changed my life immeasurably for the better, so I’ve bought you a cyber beer to say thanks
Another school day. I didn't know you could call through an iPad. Will I need two sims with the same number?
I billed a case the other day where when I worked it all out, I had charged for 4 hrs but worked 11.5 PM me if you need a steer with your thing
WiFi and same account as phone. Iirc your phone needs to be close for FaceTime, but messenger etc works as it’s just an internet call. I only use iPad for calls from home
I think all you need for FaceTime is an Apple account. We set up an old iPad mini with just an Apple account, so my mum can FaceTime the kids while she’s isolating.
