It's a shame that Ducati didn't make the BMC type filters that just slotted into place (just a consumable item them) but without the fixing into the airbox sidewall all those years ago,probably down to manufacturing costs i guess.
I'm not sure at a new price of 13400 Pounds that holds up. I don't see my 916 as a superbike. Those days are long gone so if it has 115 hp or 100 makes no difference to me. Making it last another 25 years however does make a difference to my children's inheritance.
Yes agreed,let's say another £30/50 added to the purchased price would have made no difference whatsoever to the Ducati buyer with their very deep pockets.
Same here (with a Pipercross one) and it did not make an appreciable difference on mine when it was mapped carefully. The engine is still running good compression at 42k miles
