Mini Cooper S 2004 - Buying Advice Please

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Zhed46, Jul 13, 2020.

  1. I am allowed to as I self-define as "citron".

Come to think of it, there is a slightly yellow cast to my avatar, which, come to think of it further, is now 4 years old and should be replaced as part of my routine service schedule.

  2. IIRC when they were launched was it just 2 colours ? Van blanc & van rouge ?

I`m pretty sure we have cured @Zhed46 of his anti French ways and he will shortly be posting pics of a lovely new Citroen on the site. Possibly a cheeky sliding side door open with bin inside shot ?

  3. As a self defined Citron what toilet do you use when at the Aires de service ?

  4. I want my tax rebate NOW. The EU requires Member States to have broadly similar tax regimes so that one doesn’t have a competitive advantage over the other and so if France has that, so should the U.K. Oh. Wait.....we’ve “taken back control”. :triumph:

Anyways, I don’t recall ever transporting a bale of hay in my 911, though as you can fit a surprising amount of crap in (and on) it, it regularly gets used as a van.

  5. Yes ..... but for the UK market .
The pun doesn't translate in other languages .... same thing with the " screw in light-bulb " jokes
Eg. - " How many Essex girls does it take to .... "
    :)

  6. My self-definition is based on my acidic retorts and fruity sense of humour as much as anything else, so when I need to release some juice, I just use whatever squeezer is available at the time.

  14. Don't like them?

I got them to replace the GT3 items that the car came with. As it also has a GT3 aero kit it kind of looked a bit "wannabe" tbh so I changed them for the ones in the pic.

  15. I wish I could send my boy to Halfords with my discount card, but unfortunately I never received it when I subscribed. I've spent hundreds in there since...:pensive:

  16. I’ve remembered another issue with the panoramic sunroof the winding motors when they go apparently they stick in the open position.

Mines been trouble free for 18 Months, other than the f***rs who scratched the paintwork.

Would your gfriend not settle on just the Cooper variant or does she want the full caffeine 170ish ponies?

  17. Still got the GT3 wheels :astonished: I’m sure I could help out and dispose of them for you :innocent:
