If You Need A Solution For Broken Indicator Switch..

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by Pavsta, Jul 22, 2020.

  1. If like me you have cursed the plastic indicator switch as it breaks and disappears into the road, I came across this 3D printed replacement. Took a punt and ordered one and turned up in less than a week. I don't think Ducati sold it separately and as far as I know the whole switch assembly isn't available to order any more (overkill anyway).

Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool someone had taken the time to do it:

  2. Very interesting

There are 2 choices of black, standard and premium. Which did you go for and what is the difference?

  3. Standard is a matt raw plastic kind of finish and premium is ' a smooth and slightly sheen surface for a finished look' (their words not mine!) As it was a punt and quite a difference on price I went for standard. Premium would probably be a bit closer to original I would think.

  4. I haven't succumb to this yet but this will come well in handy, great work:upyeah:.

  5. if you want it to have a 'sheen' it depends on what material it is. If it's ABS, which I hope it is for longevity and strength, you can waft some MEK over it or lightly brush it on and that slightly melts & homologises the surface and it goes glossy. Happy to share more info if wanted.

  6. Thats a great inovative product. My old Monster doesn't have broken switches though. Is this a new Ducati feature from the paint & instrument glass failure corporation?

  7. Looks good - I've broken 2 on my own bike as I had the bars set to turn too tight in to the tank, current one is a repaired version.
