St2 Rear Suspension Bar

  1. I am after one of the ajustable rear suspension bars [ride hight] think the st4 larger monsters ext are the same, would also consider one of the after market ones. Its for the Mrs, lowering her 2005 620 monster.

  2. The standard bar on the ST2 is adjustable.

  3. Is the ST the same length as Monster? We chatted in the other thread and it was much longer than the 848, but can't remember how that fits with monster length. Chap is using for his wife's monster.

  4. Ive seen on other sites that its been used to lower a 620 monster, but all of them were from about when it was made in 2005, finding much newer info has proven difficult, but the info from 2005 should still stand.
Have also read that the748 and 999 are the same.

  5. Not sure as there have been so many different monsters. I would expect that the ST and the monsters from around 1998 to 2004 are the same. But the Monsters that I have dealings with are both 2018 821s and they have the same suspension as my 939 Supersport with no link rods.
According to my part catalogue the tie rod without ball joints (on left hand thread and one right) has a part number of 875.1.038.1a.
According to the ST2 workshop manual the standard length setting for that tie rod is 272 mm.

  6. Wonder if that’s an option for the other fella on his ST2

  7. It seems that one complete turn of the tie rod reduces the seat height by about 10mm according to this blog post that I published a few years ago. https://wp.me/p5xJlR-K
The 848 is different as in this slightly later blog post. https://wp.me/p5xJlR-3t
