When out and about I occasionally get a whiff of what smells like burnt oil; almost like there is a drip of oil dropping on either a hot part of the engine or exhaust. There is no evidence of using a oil (i.e. having to top up) nor is there any oil dripping on the floor when bike parked up. anyone had a similar issue on 1260s? what was the issue/fix?
May be worth checking that the Oil Filter is tight, I had one that leaked a few drops (saw a little oil in the belly pan) and just a nip up of the filter stopped the leak.
