  1. They don’t even tell you about the running
    costs of their systems o_O

  2. That bit of fanciful of blue sky thinking has been the talk of the town ever since.
No one in the trade believes it nor have we seen ANY changes to new buildings to show that is the way to go.
Gas heating systems are installed every day in London in both Commercial and Domestic new builds.

There simply isn't the electric capacity to support heating within the production or grid, nor any plans to match the proposed changes to the rules for new Builds.
The only bit that did happen and sort of makes sense is the real flames outside buildings to be prohibit... this annoyed some fancy Golf and night clubs.

  3. It's nothing to do with Fischer as you might still use gas for cooking. I told them that there was no other use and so the capped it a the meter.

So, although many cannot wait to blame them, it's not Fischer's problem.

Once the Octopus person comes and takes the meter, I will leave it. I won't be paying any standing charges because there is no meter. As long as I'm not paying any standing charges, then I will be happy. When National Grid get in touch after the meter has gone, I'll say that they can do whatever they want with the gas feed to the meter box. I'll tell them that I'm not paying anything as I'm not asking anything to de done.

I've no idea, or care, where the main feed goes before it comes to my house. I don't consider it my problem. As long as no meter mean no standing charges then I'm happy!

  6. Fisher Price do some pretty smart trikes. Not sure if it’s electric or gas though?

  7. True - much more important. I will need to assess my leg strength when I finally get my license back. At the moment, I favour a Ducati SuperSport S (The 'S' is crucial to me with the better suspension and gizmos, with panniers as I have lots of trips planned), or the Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel - I've gone off the KTM a bit but it is not ruled out as I may need something light. The Ducati is at the top of the list.

  9. Oh, and I had a letter from DVLA apologising for the delay, but they are waiting to hear from my GP. Whether that will finally prompt them to send me for an eye test which I asked them to do in the first place, I'll wait to see.
