This is the L/H handlebar switch for most late 80s- mid-90s Ducatis. Switch operates horn, indicators, headlight and flasher. These are ridiculously difficult to find, either new or used. The horn switch failed on mine and it would not have passed an MOT, so I started the search. Having eventually found one in Austria, I worked out how to repair my harn switch (as the Austrian part took several weeks to arrive). I fixed the horn (message me if you want advice on how to fix the switch) and now have this very expensive spare part. I paid €139 Euros and would like to get that back if possible, rather than putting the switch up in the loft. It is new, in box, with receipt.
I have a spare one with the indicator switch stalk broken off. That's what happens to most of them and probably why they are rare.
Does anyone know what this is off? Found this in my bag of bits. Appears to have a choke outlet? Everything clicks and it is in good condition. Definitely Ducati no idea who gave it to me or when. Sign of age.
are you sure? looks more Japanese going by crimping and insulator stuff (unless Ducati have started doing that).
It could be from an ST or a Monster S4 or S4r. There appears to be a slot for the fast idle lever at the LH side but the connectors don't seem right.
Can't be sure to be honest. Came with a collection of spares all were Ducati. Connectors do seem wrong. I was going to offer it as freeby spare if any one had a Ducati model it was useable on. Anyhow back in the box. If it can be identified then it's still here.
