If you own a new X diavel few points for you to look out i have had a major electrical problem which caused the dash to go hay wire, this was caused by wire connected to the battery linkage snapping, fixed and sorted by coventry ducati today the gear linkage bolt fell out on the footrest conection, not nice as it was dragging on the floor at around 70 when it went with no pre warning. fixed temp on side of the road with one of the allen screw from clutch handle bar brkt, held the clutch leaver to stop it moving / twisting to get back to base were ill get new bolt and Im going to check the whole bike over. if you own one check there tight as the one on the engine side was not really tight either if anyone else has had x-diavel and had bolts or something else to look out for let us know still love the bike - did the longest 1st gear minger today I have a rear end can for 2015 diavel for sale if anyone wants one still in orginal box see photo on me old ride
Largey, curious have you still got the XDS, if so hows it running long term, also the wire that broke, did it present on the dash as engine warning light, ABS and Traction control light, no speedo and no fuel gauge, as this just happened to me yesterday,
I don’t think you’ll get a response buddy. This is a very old thread and the OP hasn’t logged on for over 3 years
Just out of interest how do ping the X Diavel. I have my eye on one and looking to add one to the stable next year
Honestly its so good, looks great, that back wheel is a piece of art, sounds great with the Termi's WOW with the baffles out, toured mid and north wales in the summer and was really comfortable, and bloody quick for a pegs forward cruiser, small issue with power supply at present which from reading through the forums is not uncommon and fingers crossed an easy fix (power supply from battery twin wires, one is either loose or broken... I hope)
