What the graph actually shows is the massive world debt crisis catching up just after 2008. Not that I think the Tories have not milked the situation to move wealth, dismantle the NHS and make a raft of “cuts” to services. While at the same time farming out contracts and services to the private sector at frequently increased costs and with less efficient results. The required money can only come from taxation. Tories know that costs votes.
