Beer, Oh Dear

  1. I've got a bottle of whisky and Gin from Amazon as I can get it delivered because I can't carry it home. The whisky is Johnnie Walker. Nothing special but I have a taste for whisky and ginger, so it would be a waste of a single malt. So, last night a very, very large one slipped down OK and then I had a bottle of beer. I poured the beer right next to my bottle of whisky and so, as you do, added a good tot to my beer. Now, that is blinking nice!

I am often warned by all the professionals about people like me, who succumbed to injuries, then slipping into alcoholism. Now I can buy my alcohol from Amazon and get it delivered to my door, I am a prime candidate! I am not worried, but may be a bit p1ssed later!

  4. My kids bought me a subscription to Beer 52 for my birthday
A box of extraordinary beers, no idea what half of them are but the whole concept is great.
A magazine tells you about brewing, the beers you have and a couple of treats.
It's like Christmas every month, you would never get this much variety buying from the supermarkets.
    So much fun.
    Do try

  5. Sounds good.

  6. And there's me stopping drinking, but ginger and whisky dose sound good.

  7. I think your nose has just grown two inches with that whopper.

  8. Nose? Nose? Where? I'm off to get another lock-down beer...

  10. I do drink wisely. Local, organic beer from Stroud Brewery. That's with with free delivery (if you order sh1t-loads!) and mixed with whisky, it's outstanding!

  14. The last interrupted night was Christmas Eve. Since then (and taking no pills) I have slept (well, passed out) without problem. I wake up every morning when my radio comes on just before seven. I'm meant to go and cycle in the garage/workshop and then walk for a coffee. I can't actually get up until gone 8 as I feel quite tired as I'm thinking that it took quite a lot out of me (I must of lost over 40 hours sleep) but it's going the right way, Thanks.

I don't think that the time of year and the pandemic help. It's still dark at seven and that doesn't help me get up when I don't have to PLUS the coffee place is shut under the new rules.
