  1. :joy: There’s going to be sloshers getting finger blasted in hedges and rolled Corsa’s all over the place

  2. Perhaps they will put self service kegs in between the cars?

  3. Add in the vacced over 80s who now think they are impregnable..... I might take refuge in the garage.

  4. My local village club have said they are doing exactly that: setting up some outside gazebos, closing the car park and putting out some borrowed benches and seating. Almost a year with very little income and paying staff has taken its toll

  5. Sounds good. Might have to give it a visit

  6. It has been reported that some town councils are charging pubs for planning permission to erect a marquee in their garden. Andy

  7. @Advikaz, not quite sure whats funny about my post. Andy

  8. Because it’s hilarious that these idiots in councils think that’s a reasonable and the right thing to do

  12. AFAIK , a marquee is not classed as a permanent structure , as is the case with a conservatory ,
so no planning permission is needed ( but the facts could make me out to be an idiot .... )

Sounds like the mutterings of a frustrated council jobsworth , with the classic Traffic Warden mentality .

  14. I've been in training all winter, I could commit any crime with my index and middle fingers and the coppers wouldn't have a chance finding a print.....smooth as silk :punch::joy:

  15. I imagine there are some that are more permanent structures and would need a review. But few and far between: what pub has 50k for an extension right now?! More likely a bunch of gazebos from go outdoors or some pagolas with tarp across :joy:

  16. Pub most local to us invested a huge amount in a massive outdoor gazebo, heaters, extra benches to allow distancing, introduced an app for contact less ordering, additional staff for table service, and you guessed it, got shut down the same as everywhere else.

Pathetic decisions based on no science or data to suggest spread in hospitality was at fault, 1000's of pubs likely to go.

  17. In November/December our local built a ‘huge wooden shed’ (for want of a better description) and fitted a log burner in the corner to heat it up over winter. And before they could use it BloJob put us all in lockdown again.

  18. Funny thing (well, not really funny) is that those who go to the pub aren’t in the at risk bracket either.

  19. I know, I mean imagine if everyone was able to assess their own risk of exposure and live their life as they saw fit? Kinda like the 80 year olds now doing WTF they want because they've not exactly long left.

    Imagine....

  20. I am not that desperate for a beer in a pub that I would sit outside in the cold and wet, like smokers seem happy to do. They will all be puffing away and polluting the atmos as well of course.

I will wait until pubs open properly. Another couple of months of wait after a whole year matters not ;)
