Afternoon all! I'm having a slight panic attack! Currently changing the belts on my 98' 916 which I've done a few times over the years with no real dramas but this time I stopped halfway through to order some new tensioner locknuts. Once they had arrived and I carried on I managed to knock the horizontal exhaust cam whilst changing the belt. All other timing marks are correct except this one, can I simply line up this cam and carry on or could it be 180 out? Could anyone offer advice on the best way to check? Thanks in advance!
Welcome. Someone who knows what they are talking about will be along shortly I’m sure. But in the meantime why don’t you introduce yourself properly in the newbies section too please?
Thanks for the reply Steve, I assume the cam (lobe) can't be wrong then if it's lined up with the timing mark? Just wanted to check before I caused any damage. Thanks again!
