You can then draw admiring glances as people drive pass your wreck and they clock the number plate. I think that I might - just might - be able to live a happy and fulfilling life without the number plate..

Hate? You must live in a world wrapped in cottonwool! No one has been insulting nor insulted. There is a general feeling that the plate for sale has no obvious meaning. This one has been posted several times here on DF and is always liked. Perhaps the members are not a good target audience?

I've had personal plates on cars in the past, so nothing against them, per se. I just get a bit irritated by stupid ones. You have to expect a bit of stick if you advertise a barmy plate here. After all, it is hardly relevant to anything else here - unless somebody had started a "Who Has A Stupid Plate For Sale?" thread. If you advertise then expect a bit of stick - I would, but then I would never advertise a private plate here unless it was obviously relevant - like a "A999 DUC" one. Hope this helps.... But that should be "999A CDU" to fit in...
