I have zards on my 1098 which are a young lads dream, but are now embarrassingly loud. Is there any simple way of deadening the sound a bit?
have to get the rivets off, remove, repack, re-rivet. My old Termi 996 were easy; my carbon terri Monster can was a nightmare!
Usually very easy, if they are of a riveted assembly. Buy some exhaust packing/wadding on eBay, or somewhere like Wemoto. Drill out the rivets holding the end caps to the can body and pull out the innards. Replacing the wadding will become self explanatory (easy). Reassemble and rivet end back on. However, if a completely welded construction, as mine was, I took mine to MTC in Burscough. They cut the can open, checked with me as to exactly how loud/ quiet I wanted it, and wadded it accordingly. Being a manufacturer of exhaust systems, they have the expertise and machinery to reweld the can so well, you honestly can't tell anyone has touched it, other than it now works as it should! https://maxtorquecans.com/
