I have a couple pairs of 10” tweezers that I’m forever finding new uses for, everything from feeding a bearded dragon lizard to removing micro SD cards from video equipment. Useful any time I need to grab or place something small that’s in a tightly enclosed spot.
I found Neil at Cornerspeed really helpful. Sound bloke who cares about customer satisfaction and communicated proactively. How refreshing in this world of customer service void we live in. The spacer took about 5 minutes to fit and makes a huge difference. vid on how to install here
That looks easier than I expected, so I’ll order the spacer. Has anyone got a link to somewhere in the UK that sells it, as the ones on eBay don’t mention the Multi 1260, just the 950.
So finally got my spacers from Nelly, fitted and very happy with the throttle action now. No guessing the "space" as to when the throttle will "pick up" when I'm in traffic, slow riding etc So much so it now feels completely normal (as in this is how it should have worked from day 1) and I forget I fitted them !
I have them on my V2 and it improves the action I think, but I agree I'm not one of the people that wouldn't ride until they are fitted! Don't know about the 1260 but the WAY worse problem with the V2 is the leaning on constant small throttle openings which makes the bike surge and like you are opening and closing the throttle
Stuck a load of miles on since fitting the spacer, and coupled with the remap with the full Termi, the fuelling/ throttle are spot on.
Finally decided to check out what was all the hype with these spacers about. Must admit I was thinking you guys were just too fussy. So got the spacer from Neil @cornerspeed...2min job and... Oh my, the power is right there, straight up, no guessing when it’s going to pick up. Good advice. Cheers
Anyone know what size the screw are that hold the body together, then crew which you need the special adaptor piece for.
Having put some miles on my 1260 Enduro now I fully understand what these spacers are designed to sort out. That 1 or 2 degrees of free movement is far more noticeable than I'd thought it would be. Perhaps @nelly can get in touch and tell me how I can buy a kit from him. Thanks.
I don’t have them anymore. I imported the originals, and imo, still the best, but the import charges etc. got to making them uneconomical. I was bringing in 20 or 30 kits at a time, so got hammered on duty and vat. There are too many copies around now at all sorts of prices. I’d suggest ordering a set direct from the states on a personal basis. They’d be under the threshold for charges etc.
It's really not a hard part to design and I can print them in ASA plastic. Ping me if you want me to send a bunch
To reignite this thread is this easy to do on a an mts1260s I believe there is a spring of some sort in the housing and if this comes out it’s a pig to refit any advice thx in advance also does this mod interfere with the cruise control in any way thx
Easy to fit, just follow the included instructions. I didn't have any issue with the spring. Cruise works fine. This is a fly-by-wire throttle and cruise is controlled electronically, not mechanically.
