Stop Distracting Me!

  1. I am late getting a work history back to my solicitor and I keep getting detracted - a bit of brain damage never hurt anyone, or so I was told by Hasting insurance!

    Brain Damage: who did that?

Anyway the point is, I keep looking at bike websites. I thought that I had decided on a KTM but this used Hyperstrada at Riders that has got my interest. It even has panniers! I think that the only solution may be to buy two bikes if/when I ever get any compensation and my driving license back!

  7. As I have been for the last two years! Compensation will take as long as it takes and I'm relaxed about it - as much as I can be but now that I've got that I'm in a wind up game with Hastings Insurance, I get the joke. I t just took a while.

The DVLA are making me do a driver assessment and they are months behind coz of the pandemic. I was told recently, that the first thing that I have to do is a telephone assessment. So, so hard to take it seriously but I have to show willing, coz I want BIG compensation if the barstewards don't give it back. I never got a straight answer from them on if I do and pass the driver assessment, will they restore my licence with ALL of the categories. They wrote back to say that they are not saying - which p1ssed me off but that was the whole point of the letter. I'm getting wise to their ways now.

  8. I have! Getting angry with the DVLA and Hastings Insurance.

Together with going around in circles choosing a new bike!

  9. I haven't researched seat height, yet. I am about 5' 11', with not very long legs (29" inside leg approx.) and that would be a problem?

  10. Yep it might be! The seat height is 33.5 inches or 85cm. Totally doable, but not ideal imo.

Obviously things like seat lowering, removal of foam depth & width help. Plus getting on via the pegs doing yoga to be supple, wearing stiletto boots etc... But really given the other options available where you don't have to deal with it why would you...?

  11. I'm 6'4" and I can only do the balls of my feet on the Hyper. Andy

  12. Maybe not then. I don't wanna start wearing high heals!

  13. High heals as in high hoarse?
    :)

  14. I have finally finished doing my work history for my sol. I have asked her some questions on where this is all going, understanding that until my hospital visits are done and my driving license situation is settled, we can't put a figure on to sue for.

I am supposed to be doing my company end of year accounts and then winding up the company, but I am going to share time with getting my bikes roadworthy. That is finish the valve check on the ST2 (which I can't member what to do, but I am hoping this will come back to me!). Then, fit the new battery to my ST3 and put the fairing back on and have it running. And repair the mirrors! The valve clearance check can wait until I have finished the ST2.

And sharing my time with walking, exercise cycling and garden weed clearing.

Plus getting a good home network with a Windows PC (this one), a Google Chrome laptop and an Android tablet.

I no longer have the time to work, even if I could!!!

And then there is the task of choosing a bike! But a new bike is really not important as I've have two to get roadworthy! Anyway, I think that is done with either a KTM Duke or an Aprilia RS660.

Organising myself is the tough one!
