959 Steering Damper With Aftermarket Clipons

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Simon19, Jun 1, 2021.

  1. Hi all.

i want to swap my OEM clipons for aftermarket ones but in doing so you loose the mounting point for the steering damper rose joint on the standard bars.

Also with the aftermarket clip on clamps being deeper than the OEM there isn’t enough of the 53mm diameter flat fork leg surface to mount an aftermarket damper clamp to.

Anyone got an elegant mounting solution to get around this please?

  2. Pretty sure Ducabike ones come with the steering damper attachment already machined in. Anything else you will probably need a separate clamp for.

  3. You can get a 53mm bracket to enable you to swap bars! Give Brett at rrps a bell he will sort you out!

  4. Here you go!

  5. Cheers Phil. Pretty sure I don’t have room even for a thin bracket like that. I’ll get a photo of the setup over the weekend when I’m with the bike.
