Hi gang, Apologies if this has been covered before but - I have a full termi system I’m thinking of putting on the bike. It didn’t come with anything software related and so my question is, if I install the system what else do I need? I see mentions of upmap keys (?), power commanders etc. I know it’s good practice to have it mapped etc but if I just fit it am I going to have engine lights etc popping up or not running/starting properly? Many thanks
Not sure if the full system has the 12mm lambda sensor bosses welded in or not. If not, that’ll throw an error code and wouldn’t run right. No exup valve neither so if you don’t go for a re flash / up map, you’d need a servo eliminator. Hope this helps...
So it looks like it has all the o2 sensors that the stock has, so maybe I’d just need a servo eliminator hypothetically?
top tip, put some cardboard across the inside of the radiator where the front manifold is, as its not unheard of for the radiator to become damaged during the process. I also have a Exhaust Eliminator fitted on my 1199, its doesn't throw a light, but on service module there is still a code showing up.. if you haven't got an Upmap like me, I have used the Rapid bike Evo successfully to sort out the fuelling out..
really appreciate this mate thank you sounds like a great tip and potentially saved me a lot of money! How did it run without the rapid bike evo when first installed?
I have a Full DP Akra system on my 1299, with the DDS Upmap fitted, I also put a rapid bike module on this, and it has improved the low end running considerably. I think i have a dyno chart with and without the RB fitted and the improvement was about 15hp between the 2 runs if I remember correctly. just as a note- I also have a 1199 as a track bike and have had a RB fitted and doing the auto corrections regularly. i changed the exhaust from a Termi under-engine to under-seat, and the mapping from the RB was horrendous (we had to open the doors of the dyno room) so I had to zero map it. so it was a good example of the amount of changes it is able to make while auto correcting on the previous exhaust system.
I also have a 1299s with full ti akra, with ecu upmap and I also fitted a RB. I feel that the bike runs smoother all over. It was relatively good before, but now it just 'feels' even smoother through the entire rev range. But more noticeable at 30mph in 3rd.
Cheers guys, it was certainly more involving that I had hoped but she’s installed with the full system and servo eliminator. Runs really nice, not too lean, smooth and responsive. Thanks for all your help!
