  1. Certainly a win for CIA operative in that she won’t have give evidence in a U.K. court there have been so few times that countries have taken away a diplomats protection that it was unlikely that USA would have.

The law won’t change as it was designed to protect diplomats from being prosecuted in countries they are posted to. America could have removed the immunity should they have so desired but clearly decided not to.

I doubt there will ever be any closure or comfort taken by the parents other than they took the case as far a they possibly could. Devastating that they lost their Son to an RTA doubly so that there has been no day in a U.K. court.

  2. Spent the day being poked and prodded about,….but not in a good way ;)

First off this morning,…blood pressure review,..140 over 90, that’ll do, near enough :upyeah:

    Then..
“Oh, while you’re here I might as well give you a flu jab”…….ouch:( !

    “And a pneumonia jab”…..ouch again :( !

Then after lunch I’d been invited to have one of these….

    88CA5A8A-C520-469A-ABA2-CBAA0CC7BE6E.jpeg

Standard check on blokes over a certain age,..29 ish o_O .bugger,….though I’d cropped that 65 off the pic!

Goes in, lays on the bed, nursey squirts gel all over my rippling abs ;) and it kind of spluttered and shot up my tummy and I said……..”no wonder you girls don’t like us Jizzing on yer bellies”!
Actually, I didn’t but I was really tempted :imp:

Anyhow, I could see the screen from where I was and all my internal gubbins, so in an attempt to lighten the mood and get a smile out of nursey I said…” you can’t see my 10mm socket in there anywhere can you?”:D…..well I swear some tumbleweed blew through the room:no_mouth: absolutely zilch response…

It was then I thought,..thank God I didn’t use the Jizz comment :joy::joy:!

All good with the screening though, fit as a butcher’s dog, that’ll do for me :upyeah:

  6. Picked my daughter up from her part time job tonight, and let her drive home. She's had four lessons so far. I'm writing this from home and the car is still in one piece, although my nerves aren't!.

  8. This afternoon we’ve been to Broughton Castle - https://www.broughtoncastle.com/

Broughton Castle is the family home of the 21st Lord and Lady Saye & Sele, whose family name is Fiennes. Sir Ranulph Fiennes (explorer) and Ralph Fiennes (actor) are family members.

We also spoke briefly to Lord Saye & Sele whilst we were at the tea rooms. It was his 101st birthday today!

  11. I’m looking forward to it. Just read a review that said Michael Gandolfino is superb as the young Tony Soprano :)

  12. Hoare tea rooms. Off the A5. Bacon butty and a cup of tea. Packed only two Ducati’s present, mine and a chap with a 1260. Lots of classics. Every Wednesday. No photos sorry.

Some fantastic nods to the original cast though.

And best of all we got into the grounds without paying the £18.50 fee (each) by just walking in using a public footpath which is perfectly legal :upyeah:
