anybody know how the best way to set up the front and rear as to riders weight, i can see the factory settings in the manual but im unsure what weight there for? or someone can pop round and show me?
Just ste your sag to the right zone Martin. Tape measure, a mate (or Char would do ;-) ) to help and a spanner/socket to set front and rear preload
Be worth £30 or whatever for half hr in MR to get them to set it up if you struggle. Its alsways risky, but heres another site that gives some base settings Ducati Sport Bike Motorcycle Suspension Settings - Ducati Sport Bike Review - Sport Rider Magazine
I had my 1098 fettled at alpha suspension near leeds last week. After taking my other half out for the first time the exhaust was banging on the rear hugger! She is only around 8 stone so no fly comments el tel lol! What john found at Alpha was a previous owner had fiddled with the suspension and made a reet pigs ear of it. The rebound was the problem, which I would never have known. My advice wantz1, go pay someone with a good reputation to fettle it for ya! Only cost me £30.
