As the title, anyone have one? In the specs they say it doesn't need an upmap which I'm a bit sceptical about. Anyone have one fitted without an upmap?
They're similar price to Termi can's, I wouldn't say they're cheap at all. I think they look nicer than the Termi's. Lookswise I think they're on par with the Akra cans.
Just had a look again. I must have confused them with something else, as they’re more expensive than I thought. I’d still want whatever Ducati supply, as theirs come with the official upmap, so peace of mind when it comes to the warranty.
I'm tempted by them, I've done some research and I believe the T800 upmap can be used with them. I think they look really nice.
I'm very impressed Ducati got the standard exhaust system through type approval & I definitely wouldn't want to make any more noise than this.. The full Akra set up does look lovely and the extra 12bhp nice to have, but jeez they are too loud for me..
I've ended up deciding to go for the Termi Black Edition cans. Kits comes with upmap and air filter also.
If I get some spare time and if there's someone not too far from North London / Herts borders I might to see the figures.
I definitely would to be sure the air/fuel is all OK and you're not running overly lean (or rich).. I've a 4 year warranty attached to my bike, so will leave it be unless Ducati change anything that is. I went the full Dyno re-map route with previous SDR's (x2)..
You could try BSD near Peterborough - pop in here for a coffee en route as I'm just off the A1 and I'll ride up with you!
They were the ones I was going to get until I seen that Calimoto dude on YouTube who was scraping them on the deck. He’s a fat ass so that probably doesn’t help. I managed to get the akra slip ons on a Ducati Manchester weeked deal for £1900 which is easier to swallow. The black termis look better though; would have looked sweet on my dark stealth V4SFs.
He's a fat fecker with massive boots lol! I spoken with a couple of peeps who have them on Pani V4S's and not complained about them.
