  5. just bought one to try thanks

  6. ICI can supply the colour and a local motor factor can sell it to you in spray can form as well, if you ever need that.

  7. is there a specific code for it? gonna see how this one from ebay turns out, i can hide it under the frame bung edges and see how it matches.

  8. There is but I have never purchased any. They do a colour swatch for it and it looks like a good match. It should be available at any ICI motor supplies paint stockist. I get all my coloured Ducati paints from the local motor factor and he definitely can make it up either as paint for spraying from a gun or as a spray can.

  9. the e bay item above arrived this morning and it looks a reasonable match tbh. came with a same size pot of clear laquer for afterward as well. will see how it dries and looks in light.

  10. The lacquer must be matted down in that case, I believe that's how the originals were done, clear over base as opposed to pure matt paint. With the solid colours like Red and Yellow ICI do a gloss finish paint so there is no need to lacquer. I use the gloss Red a lot and it's much easier not having to lacquer over a base colour.

  11. Keep us posted...

  12. Will do. Be on it tomorrow and see how it looks when dried

  13. looked ok on the bits that had paint chipped near the frame bungs, but its a little dark tbh when used to touch in a chip on the frame itself, stands out a bit. maybe back to drawing board for a paint match then

  14. If you find a dealer that has a spectrum analysis machine he can match the colour perfectly but you would need to buy a certain minimum quantity no doubt. My local factor will go down to a 1/4 litre which is quite a lot and you would need it putting into cans unless you have a spray gun\airbrush. It would ensure a perfect match though.
