Mts 1200 Enduro - Check Engine Light (mil) On

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Desmobrains, Jul 7, 2022.

  1. Hello guys,

I did a check up on my MTS 1200 enduro:

    Mileage 23300Km
    • engine oil and filter replaced(inner oil filter also inspected and cleaned up)
    • spark plugs checked and placed back (two of the pipes did not go easily out, put a lot of pulling on them)
    • belts inspected - the vertical one re-adjusted to 80Hz - horizontal was fine
    • OEM air filter replaced with DNA one
I carefully put everything back and now the MIL is on. I should mention that I did not clear the service indication yet, I am going to do it soon with melcodiag.

I drove it for testing, and everything seems to work just fine.

    Any idea what is wrong?

    Cheers,
    Panos

  2. Don't know where the temp sensor is on the enduro ....but on the std multi you have to disconnect it when removing the fairing .......did you ...and possibly forget to reconnect ?

  5. it is not the temp sensor as it displays the temp on the lcd...the only things I disconnected were the fuel sensor and fuel pump... I had a look and they are fine...

Also, I just disconnected the battery to see if that one helps but in vain....

  6. Update: went out for a 250Km ride and the MIL went off... everything looks good now...
