Hi all. Had nothing but problems with this bike, the can 38 error hasnt cleared, and ended up taking it to a ducati specialist, new ecu, relays, other tests haven't cleared the issue. So we are thinking it must be a loom issue. Not what I wanted to hear! So, with a large labour bill incoming I don't really want to splash 800 notes on a new wiring harness. Does anyone know if an 1198 harness is compatible with the s model? I've seen a couple for sale for much, much less. My understanding is the s model doesn't have any difference electrically, its just suspension and wheels?? Thank you.
If you are struggling to find a replacement or a solution, and you're sure it is a wiring related issue and not hardware, you could always give MWS a call. They can repair or replace any damaged connectors or wiring and retape the harness in areas that need it or re-dress the entire loom. That's what I wondered. I wasn't sure if the 1198 standard had TC. Will have to see if i can source one. Ball ache.
