I’m looking at buying a Multistrada 1260 s , the service history has all been done by M&S motorcycles in Newcastle upon Tyne, the service paperwork is all there, but no Ducati headings etc on the invoices etc The dealer is telling me M&S were an official Ducati dealer , anyone aware when they stopped being an official dealer ?
They *were* the oldest Ducati dealer in the UK until they gave up their franchise last year. I’d have no problem accepting their work as Dealer Service History.
That's surprising if they're the oldest UK dealer setup, then why would they pullout from a licence to print money dealership with all that knowledge as well.
A very useful video for the layman but an necessary evil for the dealers, it does make you think that perhaps just have a setup for specialist servicing for motorcycles only with the odd secondhand bike sale thrown in for good measure.
I got told they had the dealership taken off them as Ducati were not happy that they have never reopened since covid and it wasn’t good for the brand. You never know what to believe but this was from an ex employee.
Never had any joy from them tbh. Asked the for service history on bike I'd bought and the bloke said he couldn't help because of the 'data protection act' . Asked the question of Snells and the info was sent post free the next day...
