Nope it was never for sale but i was looking at an 899 or 959 track bike and i would have decided at that point whether to keep or sell the 749

in any event, its only a 2006 dark not an S so of no use to the OP

its awesome and suits me.. im 5 10 and about 76kg and pretty fit
like many mines quite heavily modded and im a newbie track dayer
i got mine already modded as it was built to campaign in the thunderbike sport series
if you decide you want one youre welcome to come have a look at mine
im not selling but i would consider it if i can get into a later bike for cheap monies

 

Had my track only 749R for 12+ years.
Love it to bits.
I’m 5’7” and 10st…fits like a glove! Too busy to notice if it’s heavy on wrists but never had an issue with that type of thing on any bike (including previous 748 and 916SPS on road and track).
Mine has lots of mods.

Looks suspect to me - 12k road miles and “can’t be put back on road” - why not? It must have had a V5 at one point.
Otherwise, standard 848 (with shit original brakes) without lights. Not worth it.

 

I am 6'3", 84kgs and find there is plenty of room on my 749 frame big bore engine track bike.

 

Looks like you could get your knee down at a standstill!

 

I use them as stabilisers.....
