Streetfighter V4s Quickshifter Issue

  1. Hi had the bike for about a year now and I'm still not happy with the way sometimes it does auto blip going from 3rd gear down to 2nd and as a result I get a bad clonk going into 2nd - this happens randomly so sometimes it's smooth other times it's dreadful - has anyone else had this issue ? Bike is booked in at dealer again for 7th November to investigate but I've complained before and the tech just did a software update as there was no fault with the shifter

  2. Have you got throttle spacers fitted? I had some cheap ones fitted and they confused the throttle position sensor on mine. To auto blip the throttle needs to be fully closed and the TPS thought I had partial throttle because of the spacers. Once the spacers were removed the blipper worked fine.

  3. I did have but I have removed them now and it still does it occasionally

  4. ^^ This sounds right to me. The throttle must be 100% closed on downshifting. If the sensor sees the slightest sniff of throttle it’ll feel like a bag of shite.

  5. I thought mine was shit at first ,but after a bit of use, and using it as intended, it's ok

  6. To be honest I tend to let muscle memory do its thing and it gets a whiff of clutch anyway on most downshifts...

Only Dodgy downshift I get is the occasional 2nd into neutral instead of 1st, which is a pain in the arse when I'm halfway around a roundabout... #wobblewobble

  7. Imo 3rd to 2nd & 2nd to 1st is really pants with the DQS. Very clunky unless it's at low rev's. QS on my MV is loads better.

  8. As QSs go, my SFV4 is average at best compared to other bikes. Not consistent. Sometimes, snickity-snick. Other times, it sounds/feels like the tranny is going to explode. Hence, I don't use it that much.

  9. Use it to learn it. Remember, downshifting will only work Ona 0% throttle. Plus, be positive with inputs.
