999 monoposto to biposto ??

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by deaks, Aug 10, 2013.

  1. I'm toying with converting my 999 monoposto to biposto as it seems the new girlfriend is keen to ride pillion ( the ex point blank refused).
Is it just a case of rear subframe and seat assembly change?
Has anyone got the parts I need that they want to sell.
I still want the option to easily change it back to monoposto.

    Thanks in advance

    Deaks :)

  2. Yeah its just a seat unit and subframe swap mate.

    Easy job.

  3. Agreed. I keep a biposto assembly handy in my garage to swop over from mono for my 999S for the wife to take a ride on the back. It takes about 1 hour to do the change over. However, it proved too extreme for my wife so haven't used it for a year or so.
I'm in Plymouth if you want to pop down and do a deal.

  4. I have the biposto subframe
    real easy job

  6. i've got the whole biposto built up ready to go on - hangs up in the garage built up on the subframe. four bolts pretty much done.

    ....doesnt get much use mind

  7. Same as mine. Recommend Deaks gets a complete assembly including footrests and seat, saves a lot of hassle locating the bits and pieces.

  8. I've got a biposto fitted to the bike and am looking at going down the mono posto route. If you have no luck with the guys above I'd be willing to do a swap.

  9. i recon leave it as a monoposto as the bike will ride so much better with one person ;) haha
