916 Looking For Options On Brake Hoses

  1. I have a completely standard 916, only item I haven't really gone through on this bike is the brake hoses. wanting too keep the bike original looking, any one got a good option for replacement as i believe originals are no longer available ? wouldn't mind replacing rear disc too, not wanting to pay Ducati price, I'm sure its a Brembo item but cant seem to find it.
    Thanks

  2. you can go goodridge or hel for the brake lines and get them made in the original shape , for the rear disc go brembo oro rear disc.

  3. Venhill is another option for brake lines. IMO, stainless braided with a clear plastic coat. Andy

  4. Also Ducati Mondo do replacement rear discs, quite a lot cheaper than oem, but they’re not brembos, they have more holes in them instead of the usual four lines of holes. I’ve just put one on my 748.

  5. I wouldn't worry too much about the rear one... it will never work anyway

  7. That's very true ! ...... in general .

    The only time that mine ever "worked" was on a downhill hairpin in the Alps
    and I locked-up the rear wheel .
    I still don't know what made me do it ...... something between "reassurance touch" and ""brain fart"
    The back end was sliding for a few yards ...... ( in reality it was probably just a few inches )

    No cause for panic though , because the corners had those excellent blocks of concrete ..... about a foot tall
    ....... that are put there to "protect" drivers from going over the edge .

    :laughing::joy:
