Just saying hello After a break of 15 years of being without a bike, I recently took VR from work and decided to realise a lifetimes' ambition - to own a Ducati (or a Duke as me and my mates always called them. So owned her now since the beginning of October, have made a few little mods to make the bike 'mine' (it was completely stock apart from heated grips) and am now happy - though I'm hoping to use the member discount from here to get a Roadlok immobiliser system. So, changes...carbon seat, Puig sports adjustable screen, AR exhaust slip on, bar end mirrors, refurbed the brake/clutch fluid bar res caps, few red anodised goodies on the wheels etc to 'lift' the bike, also got the excellent Abba superbike stand - think that's it! Before and after .......
Thanks! glad to be here - will be asking some nooby questions no doubt - in fact here comes the first! I'm after getting a Roadloc from Big Billy? (Chris?) and he's asked me to PM him - and for the life of me I can't see how to do that
Welcome and until you make 30 posts you can’t PM him. But by doing this @Billy Big Roy he should see your post and make contact with you directly.
Many thanks! pleased to be here - please call me Pez though - only my Mom uses my full name and normally when she's telling me off!
Yep, know it well. Lived in Roojelly most of my life, lovely area, Cannock Chase, blithfield res...some great riding around here. Where are you from?
Cannock, been swimming in Blithfield a few times. Although I don’t ride around Staffordshire much, only to the Swan on bike night.
Hey Pez I’m a Staffordshire lad too - up in Werrington just outside of Stoke but I ride all over the county and into Derbys and Cheshire. We should try and meet up for a coffee when the weather hopefully improves!
The Swan Fradley Wednesday night we usually ride through Cannock Chase to Rugeley then out to Fradley. Or there’s Monday night at Bradford Arms Ivetsey Bank near Brewood. Once the weather warms up.
Ohh the Mucky Duck! used to be a regular stop on the odd canal ride I'd do on my mountain bike for a change from the forest - didn't realise it was a bike place too - about 4 miles from me - I'll look out for that
