Just collected the wife from the train station, she ran the London marathon today 4 and a half hours she did it in.
Yesterday we had a brilliant day taking in places like Cobh and Youghal, and finishing up in Kilkenny, which is a beautiful place! Today we head back to Dublin, via the wicklow mountains, to get the ferry back to Holyhead.
Apart from the usual yesterday i recovered my own broken down vehicle ( clutch pedal on the floor ) the friend towing me with my Land Rover to a friend of a friend's local driveway until i can fix it. Now trying to find the correct replacement part on the internet..........
Of course I should have responded as Ducbird did, all said tongue in cheek and hiding from behind the sofa. Extraordinary to run a marathon, huge achievement and congratulations to Mrs Z.
I'm still trying on the part, a auto parts shop in EG couldn't help and no one at Nissan Hendy parts department this morning when i phoned, also Ebay had one but that doesn't match, how difficult is it for f@@k sake. Chris, many thanks for your kind offer, it looks like a straightforward exchange apart from the bleeding.
Rode round in ever decreasing circles and was reminded of the importance of slow speed control and why it needs to be practiced a bit more often.
fully stripped E-bike motor, checked magnets and nothing wrong with them, so equally frustrated and relieved.
Took bro 6 to Mansfield so he could pick up his new to him car. Jeez the state of the roads up there. From the A1 to Mansfield was appalling. No wonder I don’t ride a bike at night any more.
Flat roof sprung a leak yesterday so I’ve stripped it back and re sealed it all, hopefully good for a few more years. Mowed all the lawns too.
Rode back yesterday from Holyhead to Middlewich and stayed the night at my friends before heading home this morning at 6.30am. Got home at 9.15am then started washing all my gear, cleaning my helmet, gloves, jacket, leather pants, over pants (as it pissed down in Wales and England), Kreiga bag etc……..then I cleaned the bike and put it away. Now getting ready to go to the dentist and then to Tesco as I’ve got bugger all in to eat. Not even had a cuppa yet as I’ve no milk in Btw……..I did 1385 miles door to door in 5 days going to Ireland ps…..thanks @West Cork Paul for taking us on some fantastic adventures this past week
