We are looking for a fun boys getaway for a few days where we can hire some enduro bikes and explore the countryside, find some trails... We're thinking somewhere like Portugal, Spain (Pyrenees or other?), France... Some of the guys in the group have limited holiday so we're looking at maybe a 4 or 5 day getaway. The ferry Portsmouth to Santander is roughly 24 hours each way so not really suitable for this one. Getaway criteria: Location: Europe, duration 4 or 5 days (max), interesting countryside (incl. towns & villages), and of course some off-road. Bikes: small or medium sized enduro bikes Company: could be just a bike hire company or organised off-road tour business, whatever... Cost: low to medium Accommodation: we'll sleep anywhere / basic is fine (could even do bivvy bag if the climate is suitable) Food & Drink: must have good local beer and wine Hmmm... are we looking for something that doesn’t exist? There are enduro days in Portugal Romania Bulgaria Mate looked into them and they were fully booked for the days he wanted.

Go out of their way to help, even kept the office open an extra two hours when I was running late on return. My pal uses them everytime wherever he needs a bike to rent in Europe. Personally I can't tallk highly enough of them as a reputable company.
A mate does Enduro trips from a large gite in the whre I lived in the Auvergne, think you need to bring your own bikes though....
